SHIPPING POLICY
Welcome to MarkDown Closet! We're committed to delivering your favourite fashion pieces right to your doorstep across India. Here's everything you need to know about our shipping process.
SHIPPING TIMELINE
Once your order is confirmed and payment is received, we process and dispatch it within 1-2 business days. Delivery times vary based on your location:
• Metro Cities (Mumbai, Delhi, NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad): 4-6 business days
• Tier-2 Cities: 5-7 business days
• Other Cities and Towns: 6-8 business days
• Remote Areas: 8-10 business days
Please note these are estimated timelines and may vary during:
• Peak shopping seasons (festivals, sales)
• Monsoon season or adverse weather conditions
• Public holidays and weekends
• Unforeseen events beyond our control
SHIPPING CHARGES
We believe in transparent and affordable shipping:
• Orders at ₹2499 & below : Flat shipping fee of ₹149
• Orders above ₹2499 : Standard Free shipping
• Bulky items may incur additional shipping charges
All shipping charges are calculated automatically and displayed at checkout.
AREAS WE SERVE
Domestic Shipping: We deliver across India to all pin codes serviceable by our trusted courier partners including Blue Dart, Delhivery, and India Post.
Currently Not Serviceable: Some remote areas in Jammu & Kashmir, Northeast states, and island territories may have limited service. Please check pin code serviceability at checkout.
International Shipping: Not available currently. We're working to expand globally soon!
ORDER PROCESSING
• Orders placed before 2:00 PM IST on business days are processed the same day
• Orders placed after 2:00 PM or on weekends/holidays are processed the next business day
• Once dispatched, you'll receive tracking details via email and SMS
• You can track your order real-time on our website or courier partner's portal
PACKAGING
Your fashion deserves perfect presentation! We ensure:
• Secure, weather-resistant packaging
• Eco-friendly materials wherever possible
• Discreet packaging for privacy
• Special care for delicate items like embellished clothing
• All items are quality-checked before dispatch
DELIVERY PROCESS
• Our courier partners will attempt delivery up to 3 times
• SMS and call notifications before delivery attempt
• Delivery during business hours (9 AM - 7 PM) on working days
• Photo proof of delivery for contactless deliveries
• Signature required for high-value orders (above ₹5,000)
DELAYED OR LOST PACKAGES
We take full responsibility for shipping issues:
• Contact us immediately if your order is delayed beyond estimated timeline
• We'll investigate with our courier partners and provide regular updates
• For confirmed lost packages: Full refund or free replacement
• For damaged packages: Free return and replacement
• Compensation for significant delays causing inconvenience
Address accuracy is crucial - we cannot be responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by customers.
UNCLAIMED PACKAGES
Packages returned as undelivered due to:
• Multiple failed delivery attempts
• Incorrect address
• Customer unavailability
Will be held for 7 days. Re-shipping charges (₹99) apply for re-dispatch.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
• Festival Season: Extended processing times during Diwali, Eid, Christmas
• Weather Delays: Monsoon may cause delays in certain regions
• Peak Sale Events: 2-3 additional days during major sales
• We'll proactively communicate any expected delays

• Delivery to P.O. Box addresses not available
• Apartments/societies may require pickup from security/reception
• Please provide complete address with landmark and contact number
• Alternative contact number recommended for smooth delivery
• Business address deliveries preferred for high-value orders
